Raising awareness of your innovation initiative internally is key. According to Full Potential Group, 40% of the business leaders they surveyed highlighted a lack of understanding and communication about the reasons for change as the main factor hampering the success of their change initiatives. To address this issue, during our workshop we’ll be looking at why and how to prepare your colleagues for the implementation of a new innovation programme.
Onboarding the whole organisation and getting everyone’s buy-in is not always easy; however, it’s important to convey the excitement across all departments and to every individual. For the implementation to be a success, you don’t just need staff to go along with the process, you need them to actively engage and participate. So your internal communication plan should not only inform and educate about your innovation programme, it should also incentivise and generate a real buzz.
A clear and detailed internal communications plan provides a roadmap for ongoing communication with your colleagues, keeping them informed about what’s happening, why, their role in the process and the actions they need to take to help you achieve your innovation goals.
