Idea Drop’s London Innovation Breakfasts are an innovation-focused series of events bringing together expert keynote speakers and innovation thought leaders to share insight, knowledge and experience on innovation and best practice.

The paradox with innovation is that innovation management processes and systems need to continually evolve and innovative themselves. In our programme of breakfast sessions, our goal is always to identify issues, discuss opportunities and empower every attendee to improve their innovation processes and approach to idea management.

Our innovation breakfasts are delivered with selected partners at exciting locations across London through the year. You’ll be in great company too: senior decision makers and innovation leaders from some of the world’s smartest companies regularly attend including Arriva Trains, Barclays, Metropolitan Police, Virgin, EY, PwC, Hotel Chocolat, Waitrose, Royal Mail, Vodafone, Anglo American, Premier Inn, M&C Saatchi, NatWest Bank and many more.

London Innovation Breakfast: The importance of leadership in innovation

Senior executives are well aware that innovation is one of the main key drivers for business growth. However, most of the leaders are also disappointed by their ability to encourage it. So how can senior leaders, who usually control the budget, have the voice and power, effectively drive innovation? What tools and skills do they need in order to motivate their employees and other company stakeholders, and also, is there a way to innovate the role of a leader itself?

Join us in this breakfast session to discuss and discover more about the ways leaders can drive innovation, manage the risks and also track, measure and report back the outcomes in order to motivate everyone in their company to innovate continually and for it to become BAU.

Key learnings and takeaways in the session:

  • What are the key characteristics of a successful innovator and leader
  • How to drive innovation and manage its risks
  • How to effectively align innovation with business objectives and strategy
  • How to track, measure and report back on innovation and its results

Who is it for:

  • C-suite execs including CIOs, CEOs, COOs and Innovation Directors
  • Heads of corporate communications, HR and continuous improvement
